Thermal Systems is a  building envelope, daylighting, and roofing maintenance, industrial insulation sub-contractor operating across Western Canada. We are searching for a Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team.

This is a full time position working from the Calgary office. The estimator's primary responsibilities are to provide quality takeoffs and initial estimates on proposed projects and bid proposals. They work with the business development team to prepare bids and review quotations in accordance with company standards. They provide technical support and assist project management teams with
coordination, and extras estimating, where required.

Can you?

• Assist  in preparing and coordinating full-cost estimates for commercial projects


• Analyze blueprints, drawings, to accurately prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates


• Support in effective communicate with clients and participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope


• Collaborate with the project team and other stakeholders to ensure the vision of our projects is maintained


• Assist in the soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes

Do you have?

• Blueprint and specification reading


• Computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project


• Proficiency in estimating software (ie. Bluebeam, OST)


• Attention to detail


• Post-secondary education in related field


• Auto Cad Experience
