Are you passionate about color science and product innovation? We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Development Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate color matching, supporting production with formula corrections, and helping optimize our raw material usage.

CCC Plastics is seeking an experienced Development Technician with the following responsibilities:

• Perform precise color matching and ensure formula accuracy.


• Conduct color corrections for production batches and maintain reusable formulas.


• Contribute to reducing slow-moving inventory by reworking off-spec products.


• Collaborate with Purchasing and Supply teams to address raw material inquiries and substitutions.


• Work closely with the Development Manager to manage daily workflow and task prioritization.


• Maintain accurate formulation records in our database.
   

Background Required:

• A college diploma in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering is required


• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in color matching within the plastics industry.


• Proven expertise in color formulation and correction, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.


• Solid knowledge of different types of pigments and their behavior in polyolefins.


• Preferred experience with analytical techniques such as:




• FTIR Spectroscopy


• Thermal Analysis (DSC & TGA)


• Mechanical Testing using Instron




• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with formulation databases and production workflows is a plus.
