Project Engineer, Middle East, Africa & India
Survalent Technology is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong affinity for sales and technology to support its customers in the Middle East, Africa, and India regions. The Project Engineer will work in concert with our sales team to provide technical and functional solutions to its customers in the MEA&I territory. The position will be responsible for:
- Provides technical support to project, sales staff and customers in the assigned territory when needed including travelling to the customer site.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning and Site Test activities.
- Prepare project technical documentation and submittals.
- Configure and deliver Survalent ADMS systems and provide training to end user.
- Customer project coordination
- Preparing product and solutions presentations involving a combination of technologies
- Manage incoming valid support cases, routing them to support agents, follow up for case closures when issues are resolved. Assist customers with support portal access and handling any issues, administration of cases for support.
- Delivering solutions and value presentations to a mixed audience of technical, management staff, and business users
- Assisting in technical and functional RFI/RFPs and other client requests for written responses
- Brainstorming sessions with customers and prospects on using various Survalent technologies in combination with industry solutions to solve real-world problems.
- Acting as a company liaison on specific technical projects with customers
- Maintain and manage demonstration images of all Survalent solutions.
- Handle all escalation of technical issues reported by customers to sales
- Organizing and conducting Proof of Concept evaluations and Pilot projects
- Upon request from the sales teams, travel to the current and potential customer’s sites to support Survalent’s sales efforts.
- Assist sales in the communication of pre-sales specifications to the order entry or implementation teams once contracts have been awarded.
- Maintaining excellent Salesforce (CRM) discipline and updating all contacts, customer interactions, etc. on timely basis
- Other duties as assigned.
The Successful Candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience in engineering, information systems, or business administration
- 6 plus years of industry experience, including two or more years in a Pre-sales engineering role in the power & utilities industry.
- Strong SCADA background with experience in implementing OT Solutions like: outage management systems (OMS), distribution management systems (DMS), energy management systems (EMS), substation automation (SA), Distribution automation (DA), Knowledge of DERMS and DRMS will be an asset.
- Good working knowledge of applicable standards used in OT project delivery, such as interoperability protocols, security standards, Standard Interfaces, etc.
- Must be able to travel in the assigned territory. The position requires 50-75% travel.
- Must be versed in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects and Outlook
- Experience with Salesforce.com is an asset.
