The Practical Stuff

We’re looking to hire someone as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program for Canadian Youth (Project Number: #021158910).  This position is a 8 week, full-time contract as a warehouse attendants on our evening/night team. 

Successful candidates must meet the following criteria of the Canada Summer Jobs program:

• Be between 15 and under 30 years of age AND


• Be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant or successful refugee claimant

Timing, wages and schedule:

• Position start date approximately June 15th, 2026 to August 14th, 2026 (8 weeks total)


• Approximate shift times, Monday to Thursday: 6pm to 2am, Fridays as needed


• Guaranteed 35 hours/week


• Wage is $18 per hour

Duties:

This is a very physical position, which includes the following duties:

• Prepare, pack, and complete orders according to written instructions on packing sheets

• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)


• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, work area and fridges clean


• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high


• Maintain consistent and quality work by following organizational procedures and methods


• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers


• Perform other duties as requested by management

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent reading comprehension


• Written and verbal communication skills


• Experience as a warehouse worker is a plus but not necessary


• Teamwork oriented and positive attitude


• Good organizational and time management skills


• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 60 lbs)
