As the Warehouse Lead Hand based in Regina, Sk, reporting to Warehouse Manager , you will support the warehouse operations and conduct responsibilities as follows:

Responsibilities:

• Supervision of warehouse associates, making sure that the Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions are being followed and the Key Performance Indicators are achieved


• Assigns specific work tasks to the pickers, shippers and put away staff.  Moves and assigns Team Members to priority areas, to meet daily commitments for Depot and Customer orders 


• Liaise with internal departments such as Inside sales, Sales, Transportation, Shipping and Receiving and Inventory to investigate and resolve operational and customer issues


• Proactively bring to the attention of management any operational issues as they develop and assist in finding resolution.


• Responsible for accurate receipt and put away of all products inbound on a daily basis


• Ensure the quality of all assigned tasks, through a double check, spot check or quality assurance processes


• Trains new Team Members and provides general onboarding support 


• Coaches Team Members with respect to best practices for optimal efficiency and accuracy 


• Create and maintain open lines of communication with the Warehouse Manager by keeping them informed at all times.


• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.


• Resolve or escalate any issues that affect productivity or flow


• Ensure that all housekeeping standards are met, and that Health and Safety protocols are followed 


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.


• Ability to operate Raymond Reach, Forklift and\or Cherry Picker would be an asset.


• Demonstrated knowledge of Health and Safety practices within a Distribution Centre.


• Demonstrated strong leadership with excellent interpersonal skills must be a resourceful self-starter


• Team player skills with demonstrated abilities to interact well with all levels of associates


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
