To support our rapid growth we are hiring a Senior Supply Chain Manager. This is a newly created position with direct reporting to the Director of Operations. We are searching for an individual who will be able to set and execute strategy for the procurement of domestic and global materials at the most economical cost for the quantity, quality, and delivery required. The successful candidate will manage, mentor and develop purchasing, scheduling, and logistics department personnel.

Our ideal candidate will be bi-lingual and have 10 + years progressive sourcing experience to include commodities and knowledge of domestic / global purchasing principles, policies, and procedures in a food manufacturing environment.

Main duties and responsibilities are: Identify and develop new domestic and international sources to drive and pursue sustainable reductions in cost with simultaneous improvements in the quality and service levels of the supply base. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs and ensure availability of materials in the supply chain. Strategic development of suppliers; oversee the vendor certification program and perform vendor audits as necessary. Create and meet annual budget based upon Sales forecasting.

Qualifications you must have include: BA/BS ; Multi-year experience negotiating long term contracts with vendors; Strong financial analysis and spreadsheet skills; Experience with ERP/MRP Systems integration; Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with Operations, Finance, Quality, and Sales.
CPM or APICS certification preferred. Knowledge of FSMA (Food Safety Management Act) and its impact to overseas suppliers, HAACP, and SQF criteria is a definite plus.
