POSITION SUMMARY 




The MERCHANDISER ASSOCIATE maintains the Region by ensuring store operational excellence and maximizing Kiosk Walk-in Purchasability.  The Merchandiser associate establishes and develops relationships with our #1 customer, Whole Foods Leadership Team, external partners, and our cross-functional internal teams. The Merchandiser associate generates brand recognition, drives customer engagement and revenue through event marketing execution.

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate:




  • Strong merchandising and inventory management skills – This is the primary function of the role.




  • Willingness and ability to perform daily manual labor in-store – This is not a desk job.




  • Capability to drive daily throughout Northern California to service a large territory.




  • Responsibility for managing and visiting 40+ retail accounts regularly.




  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – Must proactively give and receive feedback to strengthen relationships and improve business performance, particularly with Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Urban Remedy (UR).




  • Comfort with in-store demos, which are secondary to merchandising responsibilities.




MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 






  • Create an environment where our partners are treated fairly in the spirit of Urban Remedy’s core values. 








  • Support and Educate Whole Foods stores within key initiatives & strategies to drive sales, efficiency, and maximize profitability.  








  • Ensure execution of kiosk merchandising, inventory, cleanliness and compliance to the company issued planograms.   









  • Execute Field visits: 20 per week 








  • Establish and build positive relationships with WFM Store Operations and Leadership teams & 3rd Party Merchandising teams (i.e. Dirty Hands) 








  • Add Secondary Merchandising when possible. (WFM HQ will dictate acceptable options/locations for secondary display)  








  • Provide recurring feedback and sales updates to WFM Store Operations and Leadership teams, 3rd Party Merchandising teams on overall kiosk performance. 








  • Work with Direct Report, peers and 3rd Party Merchandising Teams to develop best practices, process improvement and other additional projects to increase revenue inside the Tier Process 








  • Utilize Power BI to assess results and create action plans 








  • Review each Kiosk’s daily orders 








  • Communicate feedback and updates to Quality Assurance Team regarding product quality or concern issues. 








  • Demos: Manage external demo team, or perform demos when required for 14-day Promos (trade shows, etc.) 








  • Provide Weekly reporting on all main KPIs. (Follow internal standard reporting process.) 








  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • 1- 2 years of retail or merchandising and sales experience. 








  • Strong communication skills; proficient in English in both spoken and written. 








  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Platforms, Teams. 








  • Must have a Smartphone to utilize app-based technology.

Education/Training 






  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 








  • Food handling and safety certification.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS 






  • This position is field based. 








  • Expected to wear clothing appropriate for the nature of the Company’s business and the type of work performed. 








  • Position requires long periods of standing and driving. 










  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs., 10-12 times per shift. 








  • This position requires a flexible work schedule including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays.
