The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role leads the AP team, maintains strong internal controls, improves processes, and collaborates with internal and external partners to support financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities

Technical Skills: Accounts payable cycle management, invoice processing, payment runs, vendor maintenance, expense reimbursements, AP subledger reconciliation, general ledger support, month-end and year-end close, AP reporting, metrics, aging schedules, advanced Excel, analytical ability, accounting principles, process automation, shared services, sales and use tax reporting, CPA or related certification.

Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop the accounts payable team; assign workloads; conduct performance reviews; support team development; manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compliance: Timely and accurate payments in compliance with company policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements; establish and maintain internal controls; safeguard company assets; prevent errors or fraud; support internal and external audits; integrity and confidentiality.

Systems: NetSuite proficiency preferred; system enhancements; automation improvements; process improvement implementation.
Education/Certification
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)

CPA or other relevant certification (a plus)

5+ years of professional experience
Analytical Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls

Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability

Working at Global Impact
This is a full-time position and may be fully remote, with travel to headquarters in Washington, DC for team meetings on occasion. Local employees are in a hybrid work model, with 1-4 days per month in our Washington, DC headquarters office. Visa sponsorship is not available.

The salary range is $80,000 - $95,000. depending on the experience you have. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
