This isn’t a typical Cafe Manager job - this role owns one of the most visible, high-impact parts of our business, which is how people experience Righteous in real life.

That means two things need to happen at the same time: You deliver exceptional, memorable fan experiences, and you run a tight, revenue-generating operation.

We are not looking for someone to “manage the café.” We are looking for someone to own the entire fan experience engine, including café, events, activations, and everything in between, and make it perform!

The Role

Reporting to the Brand Manager, this role owns all in-person fan experiences end-to-end. That includes the café, Gelato Academies, events, food truck, Vespa activations, and anything else that brings our brand to life in the real world.

You are responsible for both sides of the equation:

  • Delivering a world-class fan experience that reflects our core virtues of connection, fun, and belonging.
  • Driving revenue, efficiency, and performance to deepen brand love and loyalty.

What you’ll Own

Fan Experience & Events

  • Own the end-to-end planning and execution of all fan-facing experiences, ensuring a 5-star interaction in person, over the phone, and online.
  • Lead on-site delivery including Culture Tours, Tastings, Gelato Academies, and private events.
  • Plan and execute off-site brand activations and community events that bring the brand to life.
  • Revenue & Performance
  • Meet and exceed Weekly and Monthly Sales Targets through strong operational execution.
  • Drive incremental revenue through Food Trucks, Vespa experiences, and other paid programs.
  • Track, analyze, and optimize performance across all experiences, adjusting pricing and offerings based on margins and feedback.
  • Evolve paid experiences to increase conversion, repeat bookings, and lifetime fan value.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Hire, onboard, train, and manage the Brand Ambassador team.
  • Own workforce planning and scheduling across all business units.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to build a high-performing, engaged team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll approval for the team.
  • Track and reconcile promotions, coupons, and product use
  • Café Operations
  • Own day-to-day Gelato & Coffee Bar operations, including scheduling, inventory, and service standards.
  • Oversee small-batch gelato production and ensure accurate tracking.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Partner with Innovation on seasonal flavours and café-exclusive offerings.

E-commerce & Inventory

  • Oversee operational execution of café and experience-related e-commerce (Shopify).
  • Maintain inventory accuracy across all platforms and fulfillment partners.
  • Track and reconcile free product distribution and coupon redemptions.

  • The café runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably
  • Fans consistently leave with a great experience and come back again and again
  • Events and activations drive both revenue and brand love
  • The team is engaged, well-trained, and reliable
  • You can see what’s working (and what’s not) and act on it quickly
  • Nothing falls through the cracks

Who You Are

What You Bring

Experience

  • Experience: 1-4 years in hospitality, marketing, communications, or customer-centric environments.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop small teams (3-10 people).
  • Operational Acumen: Experience managing labor, daily workflows, and basic business/HR tools.
  • Compliance: ProServe certified (or a solid understanding of AGLC regulations).
  • Practicality: Valid Alberta driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and the ability to stand for extended periods (3-8 hours).

  • Strong organization and follow-through

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Good judgment and problem-solving
  • Comfort working with basic financials (labour, costs, revenue)

Practical Requirements

  • Your own laptop
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and events
  • Physically able to be on your feet for extended periods
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • ProServe certification (or willing to get it)
