Southern Energy Management (SEM), a mission-driven B-Corp and leader in energy efficiency and renewable energy, is currently seeking a full-time Client Advocate to support its Builder Energy Services Team. The Client Advocate position serves as the primary point of contact for many of our existing customers and is a critical position at SEM. The ideal candidate for this position will be an excellent communicator, positive and enthusiastic, driven to succeed, and with a strong commitment to sustainable energy and business practices.
Serve as primary point of contact for existing builder clients: act as a liaison between internal marketing and operations teams and the client to ensure all needs are promptly met
- Drive continued growth from existing relationships
Support inside sales activity: support existing and develop new inside sales and marketing strategies
Staffing and supporting sales trainings, field trainings and marketing events
- Provide content ideas and generation for ongoing marketing efforts
Assist outside sales team with proposal generation and modeling
Wearing many hats: SEM is a small, dynamic team. As a result, you may be asked to contribute to tasks and take on responsibilities that are not covered in the list above. We need an adaptable, team player who is willing to support the team and our mission!
Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic attitude
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to “read” a customer by phone or in person and guide the conversation
Ability to manage time well to meet deadlines and goals
Ability to build relationships with existing customers and generate new business opportunities and referrals
Motivated and driven to succeed in selling sustainable, clean energy solutions
At least one year of previous sales experience in a consumer-facing role (B2B)
- At least one year of previous experience in the construction industry working directly with builders
Proficient Google Suite/Microsoft Office especially Google Sheets/Excel
Proficient in Salesforce.com or another CRM system
