Customer Service and Sales Associate
We are iTAN Advanced Tanning Studios, a network of tanning salons based in the Ottawa area. Our mission is to help our customers’ self-confidence by achieving the look they desire. Our trained staff consult with every customer and guide them to a solution that best suits their needs.
Right now, we’re hiring for full-time and part-time positions at multiple locations to join our growing team.
Customer Service and Sales Associate
One of your roles in this position is to make sure our customers receive the best experience they can possibly imagine. Whether they frequent the salon regularly or are coming in for the first time, you will be servicing our customers in a responsive and friendly manner. You will also help them decide on a tanning service that works for them; being personable, informative and asking the right questions will help you build long-lasting relationships.
You will also maintain the salon floor, keeping it tidy and organized. On an operational level, you will:
- Conduct opening and/or closing duties, opening the cash registers and keeping them balanced throughout the day
- Greet and care for customers during their visits
- Check all tanning equipment for malfunctions and report to service maintenance
- Manage client accounts and ensure proper exposure times are followed
- Schedule spray tan appointments
- Perform inventory checks on all product
- Maintain the salon floor; cleaning store fixtures, tanning beds and other equipment

We are hiring 3 part-time positions for all Kanata location. Part-time staff will work 15-20 hours a week, earning $11.60 an hour plus commission. We regularly hold staff competitions where we reward the winners with cash bonuses and multiple commission opportunities to show our appreciation.
Qualifications
- One year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a client-facing setting.
- Experience in a retail or product sales role is an asset
- Knowledge of the tanning industry is an asset
