Intermediate IT Network Administrator
We are looking for an on-site Systems / Network Administrator to install, maintain, add, change various network-based systems in our Head Office and in our stores.
This is the perfect opportunity for a talented technology “wiz”, eager to learn on the job as well as polish and enhance their skills.
This is a 1 year, full-time contract position with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Key Responsibilities - install, monitor, and maintain:
- Network Infrastructure (routers, switches, access points)
- Windows Desktops, Laptops and Servers
- Virtualization, storage and backup systems
- Printers
- Point of Sale Systems
- Network and Phone Wiring
Requirements
- Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent Diploma / Certificate
- Professional certification in IT (i.e. MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA A+, network+) highly valued
- In lieu of a Diploma/Certificate, at least 3 years proven IT experience installing and repairing IT equipment including Networking equipment. Experience with helpdesk or IT end user support an asset.
- Networking Technology (DHCP, DNS, SSH, POP3, SMTP, VLANs), CISCO (routers, switches and APs). Familiarity with Network Monitoring Tools an asset.
- Working knowledge of Power Shell scripting and SQL.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Servers.
- Ability to troubleshoot network and computer issues over the phone and via remote tools
- A professional, enthusiastic, energetic and positive attitude
- Able to take ownership of tasks and projects and to work independently
- Reliable and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Flexibility to work during and outside business hours
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record and willingness to travel within Niagara Peninsula
- To be able to pass a police background check
Salary commensurate with experience/certifications.
