Let’s face it – everyone wants a great designer. Your skills are in demand.
So, what do you want?
You want to accelerate your career, and work on challenging projects that make a difference in people’s lives.
You want to work where integrity, teamwork, and purpose are embedded in the culture.
We’re Workplace Resource, and this is where you belong.
As a Herman Miller certified dealer, we prioritize people, productivity and value to create more than a place to work.
Our passion is creating a better world around all of us. That means we work for the health and wellbeing of our customers, our employees, the environment, and the community. And we do all this by providing furnishings and related services that improve the human experience, wherever people work, heal, learn, and live. In the end, the solutions we invent help our customers’ organizations (and our own) perform better.
We are ambitious and growing quickly. We’re looking for a new Project Designer to add to our award-winning design team. We hope our search ends with you.
Your primary responsibility in this role will be to manage the strategic, creative and technical design side of projects. Success will involve developing mastery in design, the technical elements of our industry, and managing customer relationships.
You’ll follow an established process that starts with a detailed handoff from our sales team. Your conversation with sales will probe the project’s scope, product application solution and floor plans. You’ll take that information and provide drawings to the client for approvals at every project milestone.
Your talent and expertise will win the trust of our clients as you advise them on fabrics, finishes, and overall aesthetics. You will use your design knowledge and strong interpersonal skills in order to manage customer expectations; knowing when to push back, and when to support their decision.
Every resource will be provided for you: structured onboarding, software, workshops, webinars and expert advice. Success is a team effort here; you can be sure you’ll get what you need.
This role could be for someone who’s experienced in office furniture and space design. If you’ve got the experience, you’ll be counted on as a mentor and departmental advisor.
This could also be for someone finishing an internship after earning their degree. If you’re just starting out, you’ll get the training and mentorship you need to build a meaningful career.
