Insurance Sales Representative:
Your primary goal in this position will be to help us take our business to the next level through prospecting and quoting new clients daily, promoting our brokerage, and executing on sales by following and trusting our proven sales process.
You love the thrill of the hunt, but even more so, you love the connections you make while working with clients. Not only will you serve as their sales representative, you'll also be as their trusted adviser, educating them about their insurance options. You will motivate clients to make the right decisions for themselves, their families and their businesses by using your exceptional communication skills and piercing persuasiveness.
You love building relationships, and are an expert at establishing meaningful rapport. You’ll be dealing with clients who may be facing difficult life situations, and so you’ll use both your empathy and emotional resilience to handle challenging conversations while maintaining a positive attitude.
You’re also responsive, and understand the importance of seizing opportunities at the right time. You care about your existing and prospective clients, and will maintain a first-in-class client experience with frequent communication and quick response times, even outside regular business hours.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment, and you’re motivated by results. Above all, you’re coachable; you have an open mind, and you’re always seeking to learn more, develop your skills, and grow as a sales representative by using our team’s collective knowledge and external resources to continually improve.

This is a full time, permanent position based out of our Waterloo office, working Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. There may be some travel involved occasionally, to meet with clients, participate in promotional opportunities, and attend conferences.
We believe in rewarding your successes, so in addition to a competitive base salary and performance bonuses, we will work with you to determine your ideal commission structure based on your goals.
Your total compensation will greatly depend on your tenacity, your drive and, ultimately, the sales you make. In your first year, you can expect to make (at least) $50,000 per year.
Our ideal candidate will be local, but if you’re a true sales superstar from the GTA, then we may consider a remote working arrangement (with occasional on-site meetings).
- Proven track record of success in any sales environment (e.g. previous experience as a sales representative, sales associate, salesperson)
- Experience in the financial services industry, banking or in the insurance industry would be a major asset
- RIBO, OTL, LLQP license would be a major asset, and/or an ability to obtain these licenses in a short period of time after starting with us
- Experience underwriting or loss adjusting would be a major asset
- Technical aptitude and an ability to quickly learn how to use our state-of-the-art technology
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and an ability to work with complex information in a high-pressure environment
